The Woodstock School of Art (WSA) presents its second Student Exhibition, with the opening reception on Saturday, May 11, 3-5 pm in the Robert H. Angeloch Gallery.
WSA’s Student Exhibition runs from May 11 to July 6, 2019, and features the 2018/2019 works of students of the following teachers: Eric Angeloch, Savannah Baker, Robert Carsten, Peter Clapper, Donald Elder,Staats Fasoldt, Joan Ffolliott, Mary Anna Goetz, Tor Gudmundsen, Claire Lambe, Polly M. Law, Kate McGloughlin, K. L. McKenna, Jenny Nelson, Susan Newbold, Karen O’Neil, Jeanne Bouza Rose, Christie Scheele, Richard Segalman, and Julio Valdez. Their work ranges from classic oil painting to sculpture, printing, abstract, and drawing.
The School’s team of award-winning instructors are well established artists whose work and experience spans the globe. Collectively their work is found in museum and institutional collections as well as shows throughout the U.S., and in Poland, Luxemburg, France, Berlin, Ireland, Dominican Republic, Colombia, China, Taiwan, The Netherlands, and the Orkney Islands (Scotland). Several have published art-related books and magazine articles, created DVDs, and have been spotlighted in numerous publications from the national (e.g., New York Times) to esoteric (e.g., The Jealous Curator). Also several are listed in Who’s Who in American Art.
Such prestigious awards as the Pollock-Krasner Award, and fellowships/residences as far afield as the New Pacific Studios in New Zealand, and Festival International de la Peinture, Cagnes-sur-Mer, France, are also found on faculty resumes.
