Non-Toxic Electro-Etching with Malgorzata Oakes

In this non-toxic workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of safer intaglio, specifically electro-etching methods and explore its endless possibilities. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the science behind electro-etching, safely preparing and etching their metal plates as well as maintaining a non-toxic work environment. Electro-line, electro-tint and electro-graphite techniques will be introduced. BIG ground and other safer solutions will be used. By the end of this workshop, participants will not only print a small edition of their prints, but also gain the knowledge and confidence to set up their own electro-etching tank in their studio.
