Join the Woodstock Environmental Commission on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10 am until 2 pm, for our annual Earth Day celebration at the Mescal Hornbeck Community Center, 56 Rock City Road in Woodstock. It’s free, open to the public, and kid friendly. This year’s event will include:
  • A presentation about the Environmental Commission’s efforts past, present, and future
  • Ravensbeard Wildlife Rehabilitation Center—with live birds of prey
  • Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger
  • Office of Senator Michelle Hinchey
  • Kathy Nolan, Catskill Mountainkeeper
  • Tim Koch, Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program
  • Youth Center: to help pick up trash around town, call (845) 679-2015
  • Woodstock Land Conservancy
  • Woodstock Pollinator Pathway
  • Discussion led by OCS 6th Graders about plastics, with Plastic Monster
  • Raffle for a basket of eco-goodies and gift certificates from local restaurants and environmental groups
  • Earth Day Story Hour at 1 pm with Natalie from the Woodstock Library
  • Eco arts and crafts for kids
  • A special appearance by Mother Earth, in all her glory!
